Edenware product range consists of packaging that is fully recycled and recyclable. Unlike conventional packaging materials that are made from oil, this range is entirely made from renewable resources, such as sugar cane and corn.
Successfully meeting the European standard for compostability EN 13432, Edenware packaging is independently certified for being 100% compostable and biodegradable.
This means it can be collected with food waste and within 12 weeks in a composting facility, it will biodegrade into compost. Subsequently, it will be ready to be used on soil to grow more plants, creating a closed loop model.
The Edenware range has an incredibly low carbon footprint, mostly due to its carbon-absorbing plant beginnings. In fact, it is carbon-neutral even if incinerated, meaning it results in reduced food and packaging waste from landfill, which ultimately reduces methane emissions.
